The TechnicalStorytellers, is a multi-faceted transmedia company (established in 2010) providing transmedia services to story creators to assist throughout the entire creative process, from conception to completion. With a heart for unity among the faith-based storytellers of the world, Storytellers has branched into different venues as the company and the Christian Media and Entertainment industry grows.
Storytellers was obtained by S.C. TreeHouse LLC (established in 2009) in 2016 as part of a 7 year expiation strategy (2016 - 2022). As a transmedia company, Storytellers currently provides services within the Film & TV, Books & Publishing, Theater & Dance, Games & VR, Web & Video, Comics & Animation, Photos & Art, as well as Radio & Podcast industries. There are currently three avenues through which Storytellers provides services. First, membership plans target the ultra low budget projects by offering them the same industry leading transmedia services provided to mega budget projects, but at a low monthly subscription fee. Services are also provided in educational teaching environments as incubation/training courses, and as always, Storytellers continues to bring transmedia elements to projects of any size by working directly with businesses. The PracticalSo, If that first paragraph made absolutely no sense to you, don't worry about it. It doesn't make a lot of sense to most people. So here's a rundown (in English) of what Storytellers actually does. Storytellers is a transmedia service provider. We provide projects within the Film & TV, Books & Publishing, Theater & Dance, Games & VR, Web & Video, Comics & Animation, Photos & Art, as well as Radio & Podcast industries with transmedia services. But What does that look like? Well, in a nutshell, we come alongside productions and projects and introduce transmedia elements into them to help bring their stories into the real world. As an example. One of our clients had a movie about a blogger, we came alongside that movie and built the actual blog from the movie (that the character in the movie used) in the real world, so that fans could follow it and interact with the film's main character. This was all done in real-time as the events of the movie where supposedly taking place. This helped to build an engaged audience for the character herself. As well as building interaction between the project and the audience. So by the time the film released it's first trailer, there was already a thoroughly engaged audience ready to receive it.
This is what we do. We take elements of a project's larger story and implement them into the real world in order to build an engaged audience that is part of the story. That's what we do, and we do this in thousands of different ways, most of the time much more complicated than the example above. But, we felt like that example was a good one to tickle your curiosity with. Hopefully that helps you understand a little more of what we do. But if you are still unsure of exactly what transmedia is and how it can be used to help your projects, you can always feel free to reach out to us through the contact information provided. We know this seams like a confusing and new way of telling stories. But, that's why we are here to help. We have spent years analyzing trends, and studying psychologic and social behaviors of crowds and fans to develop our methods. And we guarantee you that the numbers don't lie. Projects that use transmedia storytelling on average are twice as profitable as stories that don't, plus they have a more passionate and engaged audience, much like those of cult classics. |
Storytellers got it's start in early 2010 as one of the first companies to invest heavily in transmedia storytelling. Since then it has become one of the leaders in the industry with studios such as Marvel and Disney using its techniques. Storytellers has developed many of the tools and techniques used by companies around the world for transmedia marketing, storytelling, and interactions.
Storytellers continues as a leader in developing new transmedia strategies based off of social behaviors, social interactions, psychological studies, and years of gathered data from the industry.

But what on earth is transmedia?
Transmedia storytelling (also known as transmedia narrative) is the technique of telling a single story or story experience across multiple platforms and formats using current digital technologies. Not to be confused with traditional cross-platform media franchises, sequels, or adaptations, transmedia storytelling involves creating content that engages an audience using various techniques to permeate their daily lives. Basically, transmedia storytelling is the technique of bringing narrative stories to life in the real world.
In order to achieve this engagement, a transmedia production will develop stories across multiple forms of media in order to deliver unique pieces of content in each channel. Most importantly, these pieces of content are not only linked together (overtly or subtly), but are in narrative synchronization with each other.
Here's it explained in a video.
